Apple Says Namaste India! Apple Store Online goes live in India for the first time

‘Tis the season, a saying very true for Apple customers in India, who can now shop from the Apple Store online. As announced last week, the virtual doors of the tech giant are open and the store webpage is live.

Apple SVP of Retail + People Deirdre O’Brien noted the expansion:

We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities. We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.

Since its inception in India, Apple fanboys have been waiting to buy directly from Apple, previously relying exclusively on a network of channel partners like Apple Premium Resellers for sales and support. Starting today, customers can visit to browse and purchase from the Apple Store.

To learn more about how to purchase directly from Apple, a new “Ways To Buy” page is available. Detailed information has also been made available about recycling old products, shipping and delivery, Apple Trade In, and education pricing. The tech giant says that the Apple Store online in India offers several great advantages, including assistance in both English and Hindi.

Since the spread of the pandemic, iPhone sales worldwide have hit a lower chord, like the rest of the tech world. The launch for the store comes in a time when novel coronavirus cases in India are soaring high. Could this be Apple’s effort to lure customers into buying more Apple products? Or is it a way to secure its existing customers? Whatever may be the reason, we’re sure Apple has a bright future ahead in oriental lands.
